Another restaurant I&#39;ve frequented so much I&#39;ve lost count. The menu is extremely simple and you just look at the board. Best thing is obviously the saimin or wun tun min with a soup that is made from scratch. Everyone has a favorite saimin joint and this one is mine. Oh yeah, if it&#39;s too hot for the soup, try the fried saimin. I kind of wish they&#39;d make a cold saimin type during the summer time. Yeah, I know it&#39;s air conditioned but still...the noodles are really good. Nice chewy texture and really the best is when you eat it right then and there.

The outside looks inconspicuous, the interior decoration is quite exquisite, the dishes are not bad, it is a place worth a try

For those born and raised in Wahiawa, Shige&#39;s is a staple part of one&#39;s diet. Nothing beats freshly made saimin noodles and diner style food. Maybe it is pure nostalgia or maybe it is just simply comfort food.

A bunch of us had some combination of a small saimin or won ton min and some had the BBQ burger on da side. MMMMMMMMMMMMM onolicious! On the web it sayz it is on Kukui St, Wahiawa but the guy said they just changed their address to Kam Highway. We only had the Kukui St address so we went into the drive way from Kukui street which was the wrong way. All the cars pointing at us &ndash; heh, heh, heh, was one-way. Had to enter from Kam Highway. Yep, das one good reason to change the address. That place was busy, busy, busy. Pretty good turn over with customers continually going in and out around us. Great, efficient service by the friendly serving staff.

I really wanted a burger with fries but they don&#39;t serve fries. Waaaahh! So I settled on the teribeef plate. The regular plate comes with loads of meat, two scoops of rice, mac salad, and green salad, all on one plate. The mini plate has no green salad. The teribeef was prepared just right for me - fried just enough to be browned and not burned. The mac salad was good - I could see and taste the black pepper but it wasn&#39;t overwhelming. The green salad had French dressing drizzled on it. The service was quick and our waitress was pleasant, occasionally checking on us. I always love this hole-in-the-wall eatery for their uncomplicated menu and tasty food. I just wish they had french fries.
